IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM OUR SUPERINTENDENT
Hello, this is Mr. Joseph, Superintendent of Chino Valley Unified School District. Parents, attending school every day is important for all students. Students with consistent daily attendance earn higher grades, are more involved with school activities, tend to have fewer discipline problems, and are better prepared for the future and job opportunities. When a student misses class, the whole class is impacted. In fact, the entire school suffers because each day that a student misses, the school loses approximately $30.00 in funding per absence. Last year, the schools earned an additional $840,000 because there were fewer student absences. That is almost one million dollars because students did not stay home but came to school one addional day. So please help your student, help your school. Unless your child is ill, send him or her to school every day. And remember, Attendance - It Counts! |
